The 1991 Storage Shell Leonardo is a classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figure released by Playmates Toys as part of the original Storage Shell Turtles line. Leonardo features a hinged back shell that opens into an internal storage compartment, allowing several of his weapons to be carried inside the figure. Additional weapons can be stored externally using the shell’s built-in pegs and belt slots.
The Storage Shell Leonardo includes two Katana Blades, Armadillo Club, Pizza Disc, two Spiked Knuckles, two Ninja Throwing Stars, and a Turtle Grappling Hook. His katanas can be held or secured in the back belt slots, while the throwing stars attach to pegs on the outside of the shell; the remaining accessories can be stored inside the hinged shell compartment. This versatile two-part storage design makes the 1991 Playmates TMNT figure a distinctive vintage collectible.
