The 1991 Slap Shot Leo is a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figure released by Playmates Toys as part of the sports-themed Sewer Sports All-Stars subline. Leonardo is redesigned as a hockey player with molded goalie armor, protective pads, and built-in ice skates. Extended skate blades provide additional stability, while a spring mechanism powers his hockey action feature.
The Slap Shot Leo figure includes Turbo Battle Blades and originally came with a cardboard hockey rink included with the 1991 release. Later 1994 and 1995 reissues omitted the fragile cardboard rink. With its unique hockey design, spring-powered feature, and multiple releases, this 1991 Playmates TMNT figure is a distinctive vintage collectible.
