Centurions Doc Terror (1986)

Doc Terror is the primary villain from the classic Centurions animated series and toy line. A brilliant but ruthless cyborg scientist, Doc Terror seeks world domination by replacing humanity with machines and leads the fight against the heroic Centurions.

Originally a member of the Science Council, Doc Terror was expelled after revealing his plans to transform humans into machines. After an accident involving his first robotic experiment, Hacker, Doc Terror was severely injured and was transformed into a cyborg by Hacker, becoming the mechanical villain known throughout the series.

Doc Terror's technology includes the Syntax Unit, which can combine with Hacker's Legion Unit to create Uniborg, a powerful combined machine. His forces include Hacker, Doom Drone Strafer, Doom Drone Traumatizer, and Uniborg.

A notable toy detail is that while the animated series refers to him as Doc Terror, his action figure packaging uses the name Dr. Terror. The original figure packaging also features artwork of Doc Terror firing a missile near Chicago's John Hancock Center, making it a rare example of an action figure package referencing a real-world landmark.

Today, Doc Terror is one of the most recognizable Centurions villains, highly sought after by Kenner collectors, 1980s toy enthusiasts, and fans of classic animated action figure lines.
