Robotic Rocksteady is a vintage TMNT action figure released by Playmates Toys in 1993 as part of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toyline. Based on the cybernetic Super Rocksteady from the 1987 animated series episode “Super Rocksteady and Mighty Bebop,” this mechanical version was created by Shredder as a steel-jointed replacement for the organic Rocksteady. Designed without a sense of mortality, the robotic Rocksteady could be sent on dangerous missions without hesitation.
The 1993 Robotic Rocksteady vintage TMNT figure came with three futuristic weapons: the Chilling Chainsaw Sword, Laser Wrist Rifle, and Poke ’em Pry Bar. The accessories were produced in neon purple or silver plastic variations, adding to the figure’s distinctive robotic appearance and making Robotic Rocksteady a notable vintage TMNT figure for collectors of Playmates’ mechanical character variants.
