The 1992 April the Ravishing Reporter toy features April O'Neil with real rooted hair and a detachable skirt that allows kicking poses. Her News Gatherin' Gear includes a Ninja File Sai, Lipstick Nunchaku, Compact Ninja Star, Kowabunga Camera, Katana Blade Curling Iron, and Make-Up Brush Battle Bo.

The Playmates April the Ravishing Reporter was one of several new April O'Neil figures released in the 1992 basic assortment and was also available in 1993. Produced for the 5th Anniversary era of the TMNT toyline, this version is especially recognizable for its rooted hair, reporter-themed accessories, and unique kick-action feature, making it a distinctive vintage Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collectible.
