April, the Ninja Newscaster is a 1992 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figure released by Playmates as part of the basic figure assortment. The 1992 April the Ninja Newscaster toy features April O'Neil in a ninja-inspired reporter outfit and includes a Samurai-style Camera, Broadcastin' Bo, Cool Katana Blade, News Makin' Nunchaku, and Scoop 'em Sai.
The Playmates April the Ninja Newscaster figure gives April a more action-oriented design that combines her reporter identity with the weapons and fighting style of the Turtles. Released in both 1992 and 1993, this vintage TMNT April O'Neil toy is a distinctive collectible from the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toyline and is especially recognizable for its unusual combination of news-reporting and ninja-themed accessories.
