The 1991 Tattoo is a vintage 4.5-inch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figure released by Playmates Toys as part of the basic figure assortment. Known as “The Flesh-etched Illustrated Man,” Tattoo is a sumo-themed ally with a unique tattoo application gimmick.
The Tattoo figure includes a Burnisher Staff, Sumo Snake, and Terrifying Turtle Tattoo Decal Sheet. The water-slide decals were applied to his body to create his colorful tattooed appearance, making this 1991 Playmates TMNT figure a distinctive vintage collectible.
