The 1991 Super Shredder is a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figure released by Playmates Toys as part of the original TMNT basic figure line. Based on Shredder’s oversized mutated appearance in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze, this figure features bulky silver and purple armor, a muscular sculpt, and the classic Shredder helmet and mask.
The Super Shredder includes a Sinister Spiked Staff, Shred Studded Belt, Shredder Communicator, and two Mini Ooze Canisters. Notable variations include the rare Chef Boyardee Mail-In black-suit version and a European purple-armor release with lighter and darker color variations. These versions and the character’s movie connection make this 1991 Playmates TMNT figure a distinctive vintage collectible.
