The 1990 Ray Fillet is a vintage TMNT action figure released by Playmates Toys as part of the third wave of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toyline. Known as “The Fist-Fighting Fish,” this 4.5-inch mutant manta ray features wide fins, a toothy snarl, and an orange belt with a manta ray skull buckle. Its signature feature is color-changing skin, with the torso changing color when placed in cold water to activate his battle mode.
The 1990 Ray Fillet vintage TMNT figure came with a fish-themed arsenal including the Ray Gill Gun, a harpoon-style aquatic weapon, Fish Stix, and the starfish-shaped Scarfish. Playmates also produced non-color-changing variants and different T-shirt logo variations, making Ray Fillet an interesting figure for collectors of the original vintage TMNT toyline.
