The 1989 Wacky Action Sewer-Swimmin’ Donatello is a unique Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figure released by Playmates Toys. Designed for water play, Donatello features a hidden wind-up mechanism in his purple belt pouch that moves his hips in a swimming motion when placed in water. His pivoting ankles allow his feet to be positioned for swimming or standing.
The Sewer-Swimmin’ Donatello includes a Sewer-Swimmin’ Scuba-Jet, Foot-Seeking Spear, and removable purple belt. The wind-up motor, aquatic accessories, and unusual swimming gimmick make this 1989 Playmates TMNT figure a distinctive vintage collectible, though loose examples may have issues with stuck mechanisms, broken parts, or missing accessories.
