The 1989 Rat King is a vintage TMNT action figure released by Playmates Toys as part of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toyline. Billed as the “Maniac Leader of the Rat Pack,” Rat King features a gritty sewer-dwelling design with green and brown molded rags, orange hair, red eyes, crooked teeth, and a spider sculpted on his forehead. White rats are molded onto his arm and foot, while articulation includes the head, shoulders, and waist.
The 1989 Rat King vintage TMNT figure came with a Royal Ratbow, Rat Hook, and Snakebelt. The highly detailed Snakebelt is sculpted as a rattlesnake wrapped around his waist, with additional details including a roadkill cat, cheese, hidden dagger, and miniature rat trap, making Rat King one of the more distinctive villain figures in the original vintage TMNT toyline.
