The 1989 Metalhead is a vintage Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figure released by Playmates Toys as part of the original TMNT toy line. Designed by Krang as a weapon against the Turtles, Metalhead was reprogrammed by Donatello and became an ally. The figure features a distinctive chrome-plated finish, exposed brain with light-piping effects, and a utility belt equipped with molded tools, reflecting his robotic design.
The 1989 Metalhead TMNT figure includes Robo-Chuks and a Foot Blaster, along with molded details such as an oil can and spark plugs on his belt. Known as the “Party Robot” for his entertainment and culinary functions, Metalhead combines a unique robotic design with classic Playmates styling, making the 1989 Metalhead a notable vintage TMNT collectible.
