The 1988 Turtle Blimp is a vintage Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles vehicle released by Playmates Toys as one of the original vehicles from the debut TMNT toy line. Designed by Errol McCarthy, it features a large 30-inch inflatable vinyl balloon attached to a detachable hard-plastic glider with rolling wheels, multiple seats for TMNT action figures, and a rappelling feature for dropping figures into battle.
The Turtle Blimp includes an Anti-Foot Blaster, two Machine Guns, two non-detachable Torpedoes, and four Wacko Bombs: Laugh Gas, Sleep Dust, Itchy Powder, and Stink-O. Its distinctive inflatable design, interactive features, and early Playmates release make this 1988 Playmates TMNT vehicle a highly recognizable vintage collectible, with minor early- and late-run color variations.
