The 1988 Leonardo is one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figures released by Playmates Toys to launch the classic TMNT toy line. Standing approximately 5 inches tall, Leonardo features his signature blue bandana and classic Turtle design, along with his trademark twin katana blades and a detachable weapons belt.
The complete 1988 Leonardo TMNT figure includes a brown weapons rack with two katana blades, two fist daggers, two shuriken, and a kama, plus his weapons belt. Early production figures are known for a soft-head variant, while later releases used harder plastic with a visible molding seam, making these versions notable details for vintage TMNT toy collectors.
