Fireflight is a 1986 Transformers G1 Aerialbot that transforms into a red F-4 Phantom II fighter jet with white wings. He comes with a photon displacer gun and can combine with the other Aerialbots to form Superion. As a Scramble City-style combiner, Fireflight can serve as an arm or leg on compatible combiners, although his intended position is Superion’s right arm.
For collectors, early Fireflight releases are notable for being part of a 1986 promotional campaign that included reflective iron-on patches. Later releases removed the patch promotion, while 1987 versions included a randomly packed Autobot Decoy instead. These packaging variations make the vintage 1986–1987 Fireflight releases particularly interesting to Transformers G1 collectors.
