Wheeled Warriors Spike Trike (1985)

The 1985 Mattel Spike Trike is the Lightning League’s “Scout” vehicle in the Wheeled Warriors toy line, designed for speed, reconnaissance, and navigating difficult terrain. This low-profile white vehicle uses a distinctive three-wheel chassis and was prominently featured in the Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors animated series as a vehicle associated with Herc Stormsailer.

Its signature feature is the large silver-chrome Spike Roller, a front-mounted barrel designed to clear obstacles and rough terrain. The Spike Trike also includes detachable Speed Skis, allowing the vehicle to take on snow or other hazardous environments, plus a small Elevator Gun and blue Smoke Screener. A specialized Weapons X-Tender bracket provides additional modular attachment options for weapons and tires.

A complete Spike Trike includes the white body, three-wheel chassis, pilot figure, Spike Roller, Elevator Gun, Smoke Screener, Weapons X-Tender, two Speed Skis, and six interchangeable wheels: Rocket Treads, Speed Slicks, and Slats. Because several accessories are small and easily lost, complete examples are especially desirable to vintage Mattel Wheeled Warriors collectors.
