The 1986 Transformers G1 Drag Strip is a classic Stunticon that transforms into a distinctive six-wheeled Tyrrell P34 race car. The toy features a purple double-barreled plasma-energy blaster for vehicle mode and a smaller gravito-gun for robot mode. As a Scramble City-style combiner, Drag Strip can form an arm or leg for compatible combiners, with his intended role being the right arm of Menasor. Unlike the other Stunticons, his car body faces forward when used as a combiner leg.
For collectors, Drag Strip is notable for several production details, including asymmetrical stickers and unused sticker artwork believed to result from a late change to the rubsign placement. Early and final sticker layouts can therefore differ, making factory-original examples particularly interesting to G1 Transformers collectors. His combination gimmick, unusual six-wheel vehicle mode, and sticker variations make the original 1986 Drag Strip an important piece of the vintage Transformers G1 Stunticon lineup.
