Doublecross is a 1987 G1 Monsterbot that transforms into a distinctive two-headed dragon, making it one of the earliest Transformers toys to feature organic-style detailing. Its signature action feature produces “cold” sparks from the dragon’s collarbone while a chest-mounted buzzsaw vibrates, giving this unusual figure added play value and mechanical character.
Doublecross comes with a rust-ray rifle that attaches directly to the dragon heads because his robot mode lacks traditional hands. For vintage G1 Transformers collectors, the figure is also notable for a small weapon variation: some rifles have twin holes above the ammo clip, while others feature two raised circles. These minor production differences can make Doublecross an interesting figure to compare when completing a collection.
