Dogfight is a 1988 G1 Triggerbot who transforms into a futuristic Grumman X-29 fighter jet. His signature Triggerbot gimmick uses a geared mechanism to rotate the wings into a swept position while deploying a pair of large cannons. In robot mode, the same action raises his arms into a firing stance, giving this compact figure a distinctive mechanical play feature.

For vintage Transformers collectors, Dogfight is notable for his later Chinese release, which arrived more than five years after the original U.S. and European version. Unlike the original 1988 figure, which was released without a rubsign, the Chinese edition includes a heat-sensitive rubsign, making it an interesting variant for G1 collectors and completionists.
