The 1986 Transformers G1 Cyclonus is a Decepticon jet that transforms into a distinctive purple Cybertronian fighter with forward-swept wings. Known for its strong articulation, Cyclonus features working hips and knees that are separate from the transformation, making it an unusually poseable Generation 1 figure. He comes with his Oxidating Laser, and his jet design was based on an early version of the character created for The Transformers: The Movie.

For collectors, early blue-painted Cyclonus variants are especially desirable, as later releases left those areas unpainted. The figure's soft rubber nosecone can also deteriorate over time, particularly on long-sealed examples, so condition is important when evaluating vintage G1 Cyclonus. The toy was reissued in Australia in 1990 using the original packaging.
