Cutthroat is a 1987 Transformers G1 Terrorcon who transforms into a hawk-like robotic monster, with articulated wings, legs, and neck for dynamic beast-mode poses. His double-barreled magnetizer weapon converts into his beast-mode tail by extending on a hinged mechanism. Cutthroat also uses the G1 Scramble City-style combiner system, allowing him to function as either an arm or leg; his standard position is Abominus's right leg, and he can also attach to Metroplex.
For collectors, Cutthroat has several notable release variations. A later 1988 version lacks the rubsign and was retooled to remove the recessed rubsign area from his robot hip plate. Some packaged examples of the four small Terrorcons also included a randomly selected Decepticon Decoy mini-figure, making these versions particularly interesting to vintage Transformers G1 collectors.
