Crossblades is a 1989 Transformers G1 Mega Pretender featuring a unique three-part play pattern. The inner robot transforms into a futuristic Cybertronian dragster, while his large Pretender shell transforms into an armored humanoid figure and a helicopter. Crossblades can be stored inside the shell in either mode, and the dragster can combine with the shell to create an unusual hybrid helicopter configuration.
For collectors, Crossblades is notable for its distinctive Mega Pretender design, extensive parts, and unusual combination of vehicle and shell modes. The mold also has added collector interest because it was later retooled into Blue Bacchus, a character released in the Japanese Transformers: Victory toyline.
