Silverhawks Copper Kidd With May Day (1987)

Copper Kidd with May-Day is a vintage SilverHawks action figure released by Kenner in 1987, based on the young hero from the classic animated series. The figure includes Copper Kidd and his companion May-Day, a transforming weapon bird.

Copper Kidd features a spring-loaded action mechanism that launches both arms outward when his knees are squeezed after the arms are lowered into position. May-Day can perch on either wrist and also functions as a whistle by blowing into the tail while covering the sound hole, making it one of the more unique accessories in the SilverHawks toy line.

The figure was released in several international versions. The standard U.S. release is available in Wave 1 and Wave 2 card variants, distinguished by different logo angles and package text layouts. Additional releases include Kenner Canada, Kenner UK, Antex Argentina, and a Korea Robocom import for South Korea. The Argentine Antex version is notable for its lighter gold-colored suit.

Today, Copper Kidd with May-Day is a highly collectible SilverHawks action figure, prized by Kenner collectors and fans of 1980s toys, especially when complete with the original May-Day accessory and packaging.
