Silverhawks Sky-Shadow (1987)

Sky-Shadow Giant Attack Bird is a large-scale SilverHawks accessory released by Kenner in 1987 as part of the vintage SilverHawks toy line. Unlike the standard weapon birds included with many action figures, Kenner produced three oversized Attack Birds designed as impressive companion creatures for key characters from the series.

Based on the bird companion of villain Mon*Star, the giant Sky-Shadow features an impressive 20-inch wingspan and includes a unique retracting winch tongue used to capture SilverHawks figures. Its large bat-like wings move inward for an attack action, while claw hooks allow Sky-Shadow to hang upside down and its upper body can carry a figure for display and play.

Today, the Kenner Sky-Shadow Giant Attack Bird is considered a rare and difficult-to-find SilverHawks collectible, highly sought after by Kenner collectors, 1980s toy enthusiasts, and fans of the original animated series, especially complete examples with the winch tongue accessory and original packaging.
