Silverhawks Mon-Star With Sky-Shadow (1987)

Mon*Star with Sky-Shadow is a vintage SilverHawks action figure released by Kenner in 1987, based on the powerful villain and leader of the Mob from the classic animated series. The figure includes Mon*Star and his transforming weapon bird Sky-Shadow.

Mon*Star features a unique transformation action that opens his chest armor when the knees are squeezed together. His spiked head can rotate into the chest cavity, allowing the figure to switch between different head configurations while the chest automatically closes when released.

Sky-Shadow transforms into an attack mode by pressing the head forward, causing the wings to move. The wings can be manually reset, and the bird accessory can attach upside down from either of Mon*Star's wrists.

The figure was released in several international versions. The standard U.S. release includes Wave 1 and Wave 2 card variants with different logo angles and package text layouts. Additional releases include Antex Argentina and Kenner UK editions.

Today, Mon*Star with Sky-Shadow is one of the most recognizable SilverHawks collectibles, highly sought after by Kenner toy collectors, 1980s action figure enthusiasts, and fans of the original animated series, especially when complete with the Sky-Shadow accessory and original packaging.
