Silverhawks Hardware With Prowler (1988)

Hardware with Prowler is a vintage SilverHawks action figure released by Kenner in 1987 as part of the Wave 2 toy line. Exclusive to the United States, the figure is based on the weapons expert Hardware from the classic animated series and includes his transforming companion Prowler.

Hardware features a backpack accessory that connects to the figure's back and launches Prowler into action. By pressing the button on the backpack, the top opens and the bird accessory pops out in a flight-style attack feature. Prowler's wings can be manually folded backward for storage inside the backpack and it can also attach to the top of the backpack using its built-in foot slots.

As a Wave 2 release, Hardware with Prowler is one of the more collectible figures from the original Kenner SilverHawks toy line. It remains popular among 1980s action figure collectors, especially when found complete with the original Prowler accessory, backpack, and packaging.
