Fastlane / Cloudraker is a 1987 Transformers G1 Autobot Clone two-pack featuring the nearly identical Clone brothers. Cloudraker transforms into a futuristic jet fighter, while Fastlane transforms into a futuristic car. Cloudraker’s robot mode closely matches Fastlane’s, but his jet configuration is identifiable by the wings on the backs of his legs and his two heat-sensitive rubsigns. He includes two left-and-right-specific gravity-rod rifles that can be stored underneath the jet as landing gear or positioned in his hands to recreate his Headmasters anime appearance.
Cloudraker was released exclusively with Fastlane as a G1 Autobot Clone two-pack and was also issued in Japan by Takara. A 1993 Chinese release replaced Cloudraker’s jet-identifying rubsign with a foil Autobot insignia. The combination of unique weapon storage, dual rubsigns, and Clone-exclusive packaging makes the 1987 Fastlane and Cloudraker set a notable piece for Transformers G1 collectors.
