Transformers Generation 1 Airwave (1989)

The 1989 Transformers G1 Airwave is an Autobot Micromaster Station that transforms into a Grumman F-14D Tomcat fighter jet. Airwave is a redeco of the earlier Decepticon Micromaster Nightflight, sharing the same basic design while receiving new colors for the 1989 toy line. The figure was released with two missiles and a connecting ramp.

Airwave’s main feature is his airport hangar playset, which transforms into a missile base and includes a ramp for connecting with other Micromaster Stations. This modular design allows collectors to build larger interconnected bases, making G1 Airwave both a transforming aircraft and an important component of the original Micromaster base system.
