Catilla is a 1988 G1 Pretender Beast that transforms into a mechanical saber-toothed cat. His compact robot mode fits inside a yellow organic-style Pretender shell with red robotic armor, a removable silver helmet, and a detachable tail. Catilla comes with a large gray cannon that can be mounted on his mechanical beast mode or attached to the shell's armor.
The 1988 Hasbro Catilla G1 toy is notable for its unusual weapon naming: the same cannon is called a “turbo blaster” in the shell mode and an “air concussion cannon” in robot mode. This Pretender Beast was released in Europe but never received a Japanese release, making the original Catilla a distinctive addition to the G1 Pretender lineup.
