The 1988 Transformers G1 Carnivac is a Decepticon Pretender Beast that transforms into a robotic wolf and fits inside a detailed gray timber wolf Pretender shell with mechanical armor. His anti-thermal cannon can be mounted on either the inner robot or outer shell, adding weapon options in both modes.
Carnivac features bronze-colored plastic that is not prone to Gold Plastic Syndrome, while his flexible tail and shoulder armor can fade over time. The G1 Carnivac toy was released in the fifth year of the original Transformers toyline and is a notable vintage Pretender Beast collectible. No version of the Carnivac toy or character was released in Japan.
