Transformers Generation 1 Air Strike Patrol (1989)

The 1989 Transformers G1 Air Strike Patrol is one of the first Decepticon Micromaster teams, consisting of Whisper, Nightflight, Storm Cloud, and Tailwind. Inspired by the larger Decepticon Seekers, the team is characterized by rivalry and ambition, with the members constantly competing for credit and challenging their leader Whisper. All four figures were packaged together on a single card as part of Hasbro’s early Micromaster releases.

Originally released by Hasbro in late 1988, the Air Strike Patrol was sold alongside the Off Road Patrol and Race Car Patrol in transitional packaging that bridged the 1988 and 1989 Transformers toy lines. Collectors can identify this release by its faction-colored card design and distinctive “Micro Transformers” branding, making the G1 Air Strike Patrol a notable early Decepticon Micromaster set.
