The 1985 LJN ThunderCats Astral Moat Monster is a rare vintage action figure from Series 1 of LJN’s classic ThunderCats toy line. Standing approximately 6 inches tall with an almost 8-inch wingspan, this evil guardian of the Mystical Prison features a blue body, bright red spots and feet, yellow eyes, and six points of articulation. The figure includes two detachable red plastic wings and originally came in a cardboard box featuring artwork of the monster battling Lion-O.

Produced between 1985 and 1987, the Astral Moat Monster remains a sought-after collectible among vintage ThunderCats action figure collectors. Its limited appearance in the original animated series and distinctive creature design add to its appeal. While loose examples often lack the original wings, making complete figures harder to find. An especially rare Playful Argentina variant features distinctive white-painted claws, offering collectors a unique international variation of this classic LJN figure.
