The 1986 LJN ThunderCats Ma-Mutt action figure was released in Series 2 as part of the vintage ThunderCats Companions toy line, based on the original 1980s animated series. Standing approximately 3 inches tall, Ma-Mutt features 5 points of articulation at the neck, shoulders, and hips, allowing for multiple poses. Unlike the non-articulated PVC Ma-Mutt included with some LJN Mumm-Ra figures, this version was designed for interactive play and display.

The vintage Ma-Mutt figure came packaged on a smaller, scenic mountain landscape backing card alongside other Companions figures, including Snarf, the ThunderKittens, and the Berbils. Packaging included a purple and black LJN mini catalog, while two known variations featured either a silver chain or a black plastic chain around Ma-Mutt’s collar. These variations make the 1986 LJN Ma-Mutt a distinctive collectible for vintage ThunderCats toy collectors.
