Bugly is a 1988 Transformers G1 Decepticon Pretender that transforms into a Cybertronian hoverjet. His two high-finned photon rifles attach to the sides of the inner robot and become wing-like weapons in jet mode. The toy also includes electro-stinger antennae and a belt.
Bugly’s distinctive Pretender shell is a giant humanoid insect with oversized compound eyes and a claw-like hand, giving the figure an especially unusual appearance among G1 Pretenders. The removable antennae provide some posing options, while the shell and inner robot feature multiple weapon-mounting points. Bugly was released in the United States and Europe but was not released in Japan.
