Broadside is a 1986 Transformers G1 Autobot Triple Changer that converts from robot mode into an aircraft carrier or fighter jet. His jet mode resembles a futuristic version of aircraft such as the Sukhoi Su-27 or F/A-18 Hornet, while his carrier mode features a flight deck for a distinctive naval alternate form. Accessories include a plasma-pulse gun, vibro-axe, and two missiles.
The G1 Broadside toy is notable for its unusual three-mode design and vintage construction, including die-cast metal components and spring-loaded features. One known issue involves the jet cockpit, which can become difficult to secure and may cause scratches to the clear blue plastic when the toy is displayed in carrier mode.
