Blackstar Warlock (1983)

The 1983 Galoob Blackstar Warlock, known as the “Dragon Horse of Sagar,” is the heroic winged mount of John Blackstar and one of the signature creatures in the vintage Blackstar toy line. The Series 1 Warlock features a bright green reptilian body, large yellow wings, and a fierce dragon-like sculpt with teeth and claws. Its glow-in-the-dark facial details, including the eyes and teeth, add to its distinctive appearance.

Warlock was designed as a rideable companion and includes a removable dark-colored saddle sized for the 5-inch John Blackstar figure. Its wings are manually articulated on hinged joints for posing and simulated flight. Galoob later released an updated Series 2 version, making the 1983 Series 1 Warlock an important variation for vintage Blackstar collectors.
