Blackstar Carpo Trobbit (1984)

Carpo is one of the distinctive Trobbits (Tree Hobbits) released by Galoob in 1983–1984 for the Blackstar toy line. Standing approximately 2.5–3 inches tall, Carpo is a solid painted rubber or vinyl figure with no articulation. His colorful design features green skin, a purple belly, and bright yellow trousers, making him an instantly recognizable Blackstar companion figure.

Unlike the larger 5.5-inch Blackstar action figures, Carpo was primarily released as a pack-in companion with heroes such as John Blackstar, Mara, and Vizir. Trobbits served as counterparts to the Alien Demons included with villain figures, helping expand the world of Sagar. A rare Greek Silverman release also exists, with Carpo produced in translucent clear-green plastic or a metallic silver finish, making these variants especially interesting to international collectors.

Today, Carpo remains a notable piece of the Galoob Blackstar Trobbit collection. Loose examples commonly show paint wear on the protruding purple belly and yellow trousers, making clean paint especially desirable to collectors.
