Blackstar Terra Trobbit (1984)

The 1983 Galoob Blackstar Terra Trobbit is a 3-inch PVC companion figure based on the Trobbits from the Filmation Blackstar animated series. The Trobbits are the peaceful, pink-skinned caretakers of the Sagar Tree, with Terra portrayed as the gentle, quiet, and kindhearted member of the tribe, closely connected to the planet's earth and plant life. Terra is easily identified by the small green plant sprout or leaf sculpted onto his hat, along with white facial hair and colorful purple, yellow, and blue clothing. Like the other Trobbit figures, Terra is a solid, non-articulated figure made from slightly soft PVC plastic.

Galoob released Terra in several formats, including as a pack-in companion with select 5-inch Blackstar hero figures, as an individually carded Filmation-branded figure, and as part of the rare “Trobbits of the Sagar Tree” four-pack alongside Balkar, Poulo, and Rif. These multiple configurations make the original 1983 Terra Trobbit an important piece of the Blackstar companion figure lineup.

For collectors, Terra Trobbit is one of the more difficult and desirable Trobbits to find complete and undamaged. His small green sprout is particularly fragile and was easily broken or removed during childhood play, making an intact Terra with the original head detail significantly more desirable. The distinctive sprout, PVC construction, colorful outfit, and original packaging are key identifiers for this 1983 Galoob Blackstar figure.
