Blackstar Balkar Trobbitt (1983)

Balkar is the wise Trobbit King from Filmation’s Blackstar animated series and the Galoob toy line. As ruler of the Trobbits living inside the magical Sagar Tree, Balkar serves as an important mentor and ally to John Blackstar. He is also a practitioner of elemental magic and guardian of the Box of Seasons, a powerful artifact needed to restore spring to Sagar.

The Galoob Balkar figure is a small, non-articulated PVC mini-figure approximately 2.5–3 inches tall. He is recognizable by his pink skin, long white hair, large white beard, hooded cloak, and wooden staff.

Balkar was commonly included as a pack-in figure with 5-inch Blackstar action figures and was also available as part of the “Trobbits of the Sagar Tree” four-pack, alongside other Trobbit characters.

The Balkar Trobbit is an important vintage Galoob Blackstar accessory figure, particularly for collectors completing the original Trobbit lineup. Because he was often packaged as a small pack-in rather than a primary action figure, complete sets and loose examples with intact accessories can be desirable to Blackstar collectors.
