Battlestar Galactica Colonial Warrior (1979)

The Colonial Warrior is a 1978 Mattel Battlestar Galactica action figure released as part of the original vintage toy line. Standing approximately 11.5 inches tall, the figure was not based on a specific character from the television series but was instead a repurposed design originally derived from Mattel’s Captain Laser figure from the Major Matt Mason toy line.

The Colonial Warrior toy features a removable cloth coat, a large molded backpack, and a handheld laser accessory with an electronic light-up feature activated by pressing a button on the backpack. Considered less common on the secondary market, the figure remains a unique collectible among Battlestar Galactica collectors, Mattel vintage action figure enthusiasts, and fans of classic 1970s science fiction toys.
