The Cylon Commander is a 1979 Mattel Battlestar Galactica action figure based on the elite military leaders of the Cylon Empire from the original television series. Featuring the same basic design as the standard Cylon Centurion figure, this version is distinguished by its metallic gold-toned paint scheme and command role within the Cylon hierarchy.
The Cylon Commander toy includes a Cylon Laser Rifle accessory and represents the officers responsible for leading Cylon forces and coordinating their attacks against the Colonials. While often compared to Star Wars Stormtroopers, the Cylons established their own identity as iconic science fiction villains. Considered moderately difficult to find, the figure remains a desirable collectible among Battlestar Galactica fans, Cylon collectors, and vintage Mattel action figure enthusiasts.
