Battlestar Galactica Commander Adama (1978)

Commander Adama is a 1978 Mattel Battlestar Galactica action figure based on the iconic leader of the Galactica fleet, portrayed by Lorne Greene in the original television series. Released in his classic command uniform, the figure includes a removable cloth cape and Colonial Blaster accessory, capturing Adama’s role as the commander and guiding force of the Colonial survivors.

The Commander Adama toy is one of the more common figures in the vintage Mattel Battlestar Galactica action figure line and is generally easy to find on the secondary market. Like many figures from the series, the facial likeness and paint applications were considered weak, with some examples showing fading or wear over time. Despite these flaws, Commander Adama remains an essential collectible for Battlestar Galactica fans and vintage sci-fi toy collectors.
