Wreck-Gar is a 1986 Transformers G1 Autobot Hero that transforms into a Cybertronic “junk” motorcycle. The G1 Wreck-Gar toy includes a Decelerator Laser, Armor Axe, and tire/shield, with all accessories using standard 5 mm posts for compatibility with later Wreck-Gar toys. His rifle and axe can also be stored in vehicle mode by plugging them into his fists near the front wheel.
The Transformers G1 Wreck-Gar was one of two Autobot Hero toys released during the third year of Hasbro’s original Transformers toyline and carries Takara ID C-81. The figure is particularly notable for being one of the earliest Transformers G1 toys to use ball-and-socket joints, making Wreck-Gar an important vintage G1 Autobot collectible.
