Wideload is a 1987 Transformers G1 Throttlebot that transforms into an orange earth-mover dump truck resembling a Komatsu HD465-3 with a blue load cover. Like other Throttlebots, the G1 Wideload toy features a pull-back motor that propels him across smooth surfaces in both vehicle and robot modes. He is also one head taller than his teammates and uses a unique construction that gives him noticeably greater weight.
The Transformers G1 Wideload was part of the 1987 Decoy promotion and came with a soft-rubber Autobot or Decepticon Decoy figure. His unusual engineering includes extra plastic parts and a screw, a split robot head, and a different leg and arm structure from other Throttlebots, making Wideload a distinctive vintage G1 Throttlebot collectible.
