Trypticon is a 1986 Transformers G1 Decepticon City that transforms from a large robotic dinosaur into a sprawling city and mobile battle station. The G1 Trypticon toy includes the transforming car Full-Tilt, tank Brunt, towers, ramps, scanners, blasters, connectors, and a laser cannon. Battery-powered electronics allow Trypticon to walk in dinosaur mode, spin his scanners and blasters, and flash an orange light from his main cannon.
The Transformers G1 Trypticon can connect with Onslaught and Motormaster in base mode using special connector pieces and was heavily featured in Japan's Scramble City line. The connectors can also attach to Trypticon's back in dinosaur mode for an unusual Godzilla-inspired appearance. Never released at UK retail, the mold was later retooled and redecoed as Gigastorm for Beast Wars II, making Trypticon a major vintage G1 Transformers city collectible.
