Treadshot with Catgut is a 1990 Transformers G1 Action Master released in the first assortment of individually carded Action Masters during the final US year of the original toyline. The G1 Treadshot toy is a non-transforming 3¾-inch action figure with details based on a Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum pistol, featuring articulated neck, shoulders, knees, ball-jointed hips, 3 mm hand holes, foot mounting holes, and a 5 mm-compatible back port.
The Transformers G1 Treadshot includes a Pulse Demagnetizer rifle and the Action Master partner Catgut, who transforms into a large cannon. Treadshot's instructions incorrectly depict a weapon from an unreleased Diaclone toy instead of his actual rifle, while his correct weapon was mistakenly illustrated in Soundwave's Action Master instructions, causing identification errors for collectors.
