Sunstreaker is a 1984 Transformers G1 Autobot Car that transforms into a customized Lamborghini Countach LP500S with an exposed rear engine. The G1 Sunstreaker toy includes two Rocket Boosters, three rockets, and spring-loaded fists, although Hasbro weakened or removed the firing mechanisms for safety.
The Transformers G1 Sunstreaker received a heat-activated rubsign in 1985 and was later offered as a mail-away figure after its 1986 retail removal. A rare European release was mistakenly packaged as Sideswipe, including Sideswipe's instructions and sticker sheet. Sunstreaker is considered difficult to find complete and unbroken, while its original mold is reportedly lost or too damaged for economical recasting, making this vintage G1 Autobot Car especially collectible.
