Splashdown is a 1988 Transformers G1 Pretender that transforms into a Cybertronic hovercraft. The G1 Splashdown toy includes a helmet, belt, Electron-Sword, large Harpoon Gun, Photon Blaster, and shield, with the Photon Blaster attaching to the shield to complete the vehicle mode.
The Transformers G1 Splashdown inner robot fits inside a Pretender shell featuring a shark-head design on its chest. The shell can also mount the shield on its left arm. Released in the second wave of 1988 Pretenders, Splashdown was never sold in Japan, making this vintage G1 Pretender a distinctive collectible.
