Snarl is a 1985 Transformers G1 Dinobot that transforms into a robotic Stegosaurus covered in gold vacuum-metalized armor plates. The G1 Snarl toy includes an Energo Sword, Electron Cannon, rocket pod launcher, and three missiles, with the launcher attaching to his shoulders in robot mode or hips in dinosaur mode.
The Transformers G1 Snarl was based on Takara's Diaclone Dinosaur Robo Stegosaurus and received several changes for Transformers, including red robot-torso plastic, a softer red sword, and shortened tail spikes. The Japanese release retained the retooled tail but had fully functional missile launchers, and Snarl was later offered through the Operation Combination mail-away campaign. He carries Takara ID 29, making him a notable vintage G1 Dinobot collectible.
