Snaptrap is a 1988 Transformers G1 Seacon that transforms into a mechanical land tortoise, with articulated legs, an opening jaw, and a lever-activated “pom-pom” cannon gimmick. The G1 Snaptrap toy includes an Atom-Smasher Rifle, Incendiary Sword, shell shield/chestplate, combiner fists, footplates, and the super robot head.
The Transformers G1 Snaptrap forms the torso of Piranacon and can combine with compatible Scramble City-style limbs. Its combiner fists can hold Seacon artillery-cannon modes using both standard 5 mm posts and combiner connectors. In Japan, the same toy was released as Turtler in the Super-God Masterforce line, making Snaptrap a notable vintage G1 Seacon collectible.
